She’s essential but it’s damn slow at the hospital right now.

Don't understand, I thought dead bodies were piling up everywhere & hospitals were overrun. Sorry for the cut. Mine's coming to our industry soon enough.

Outside of the ICU and ventilators things are very slow bc nobody is having any non-emergency procedures done out of fear they will catch COVID—19 at the hospital (and rightfully so).

Our company cut all of us to 32 hours last week. This is going to hurt for a little while.

Small business of about 50 employees.

Is she one of the lucky ones that didn’t get “volunteered” to go work in the covid icu?

Mine works for one of the larger control companies in the world. Hospitals/arenas/ large hotels are their thing. Once they get in the groove she’ll be billing her arse off.

I posted this yesterday but I continue to become more and more angry:
Our Dermatology clinic where we regularly screen for melanoma among treating other serious medical issues has been shut down, yet the corner store that sells cigarettes, cigarillos, Swisher sweets, optimos and 40s is business as usual. Doesn’t quite add up to me.

If your wife has any short term disability she should be able to get something. My wife was on bed rest from first week of January through March 4th when kids came. We got lucky they were born right before all this craziness.
