I'd say 99.999999% of people consider going to therapy as a last resort.
If she feels like she needs therapy, then she's probably tried everything else.

I've never known someone to go to therapy and come out of it saying it made their life worse. I have known people who went to therapy, sat down once, and never went back feeling like it wouldn't solve their particular issue.

Basically, if someone wants to go to therapy, drive them there yourself and be supportive. Ask questions.

Therapists can be conservative as well.

She should be able to go....but still absolutely should tell you why.

But I'm pretty sure her therapist will make her tell you at some point. If not, het a lawyer.

I say this every time a thread like this appears. Start hiding money, etc

Once lawyers arrive, your screwed and have no wiggle room.

venting is not the same as Confessing sins.

Usually your posts are funny.

I used to date a chick who would say dumb shite like “what kind of lies did you tell your therapist about me today?”

She was a bitch. You might also be a bitch.

If your wife wants to go to therapy for an hour each weak instead of talking to her husband about it a breach of trust in the marriage? Would you consider this a betrayal of your marriage vows?
I can see why she is going to therapy.

For what it's worth two friends learned they were divorced when their wife and counselor returned from Vegas with divorce papers.... not at the same time but several years apart.

Both had Vegas weddings.

Would you let your spouse speak toa non-Christian councilor about issues in there life and not tell you what was spoken about?

1. Are you really this controlling? “Let her speak to?” She is an adult. I’m not “letting” anything.
2. Why does she feel like she can’t talk to you? I would be looking inward and ask why she feels like she can’t talk to me about it.
3. Christian or non-Christian, it’s still better for people to be able to talk and self reflect over issues in their life without judgement.
4. She doesn’t need to tell me everything she talks about. Does she tell you about every conversation she has at work or with friends or family?

Do therapists do anything beside just affirm clients now? I've know some crazy arse folks whose therapists just coddle and reinforce their abnormal behaviors to their detriment.

Simps? Sorry I’m an Adult and know how to choose a woman as an adult. Not finding a little girl “that needs to be handled”.
