This is fact. Google has a monopoly on consumer data, whether that’s maps or reviews. Google simply refuses to do anything about incorrect and even slanderous information that consumers rely on daily. Hell I had to wait a full year until google would recognize my street and home in a neighborhood despite submitting my address correction ten times

A lawyer of my acquaintance retired five years ago. Google still lists him as actively practicing.

Stupid lawsuit is stupid.

It’s how lawyers operate. Sue everybody and see what sticks.

I forgot what the final deal was with firestone. were they not rated for the higher speeds? A bunch of people died in fords because of those tires.

GTFO. They didn’t cost you “hundreds of thousands of dollars.” You sound like all the other failed restaurateurs, always blaming someone or something else for the restaurants failure.

I truss it's all in good faith. There is concrete evidence, he was streaming. Hope she can get over it.

So someone suggested an edit 2 years before his accident? Seems the state or county should be sued for no barricade .
Not gonna lie. circa 2015 I was using Google Maps while delivering pizza in Ascension Parish and I almost had a major frickup just blindly following the route.
Going down a dark back road about 45 mph cutting between 44 and Joe Sevario when I almost ran straight into a locked cattle gate.

Only thing I could figure was whenever Google mapped that road, the gate was open. And it had since been obviously locked.

Why is Google maps bringing people on private property?
I'm pretty sure most GPS apps will navigate private roads. Waze (I know, owned by Google) definitely does...it navigates me when I'm leaving parking lots all the time.

App map is superior
Well that's certainly an opinion.

I have so many questions.
How bad are you with directions that you need GPS to bring home from 4 miles away after living there for 2 years?
How do they know that he did because GPS told him to? He could’ve done it as a way to commit suicide.

This seems like a good enough thread to again point out that the bridges in our country are crumbling, and more and more of them will be falling down around our ears in the coming years. This one is on private property, but there are more than 50 thousand more out there that are "structurally deficient". That's close to 40% of the bridges that you or your family could be driving across on any given day.

How did he get to the birthday party in the first place?

Seems she should sue the county/state/whoever. How is Google to blame for a bridge being out? It's not like their data is real time.
Lawyers go after the deepest, and Google has way more money then some hick county or the State of Louisiana.
