I live on the Texas-Oklahoma border and a lot of people that liv3 in Oklahoma keep their Texas plates for years. I'm not sure why but I just assume that for whatever reason it must be cheaper.

Some may be rentals that are from the Avis or Hertz ops at MSY or BTR.

I think they're scouting us for when they secede. I'm hoping they can take us with them. Our big selling point will be the Mississippi River.

About 90% are Texas plates on my 530am drive on hwy90 between MC and Houma. Mostly shipyards I’d imagine. Been that way since the border opened up last few years.
I’m assuming they pick up a car and get licensed in Texas before finding work and a place to live out of state. I can’t believe Louisiana is cool with losing out on all those taxes and fees to Texas, and not making them register here at some point.

I've seen a lot of Texas tags in Columbus, Ohio the past several months as well. I thought Texas was great and they wanted to succeed from the USA? Can't be that great if they are coming to Ohio for jobs...

It's a new ICE program. Trump asked us Texans to use our personal cars/trucks to move illegals to other cities. Seeing what a shithole Columbus is, I volunteered so bring a few up myself.
You may have noticed me driving in the left lane.

Would rather see their car in a ditch than pass in the right lane.

It really is a major issue in this State. The Police want to give tickets for speeding but never ever actually give tickets for left lane campers. And we essentially only have 2 lane roads.

They are single handedly making roads more dangerous by choosing not to enforce the law.

That's why I pass on the right.

They wouldn’t have to come take the jobs if the lazy population would take the jobs in the first place. Louisiana has 4.5M people yet they have workforce issues. Sounds like a demographics issue.

Texas drivers rival N’awlins drivers for speed and crappy driving.

Maybe that was also the reason for the uptick in crime. Chickens come home to roost.

Louisiana expats who move to Dallas,Houston, Austin for work. Also company cars, way cheaper to buy, register, and insure a car in Texas. A lot of the O&G companies here in Lafayette will register the vehicles through the Houston office to save money.

Do they put expiration dates on the tags now? There was a family my son went to school with who moved here from Texas. Their tags didn't have expiration stickers and drove that massive Expedition for years with Texas tags. Guess she didn't realize that the state will get their money if/when she tries to transfer the title at some point.

Lots of families have ties to south LA and Houston. Mostly due to Louisiana being a complete dumpster fire shite hole place to live, so people left for a superior life

Hopefully Trump runs them out. I was hoping the hurricanes would send them off to rebuild other states, but they didn’t.
