I hate them too but when they annoy me I content myself with thinking of the low IQ and small penis size of the driver.

Yeah, people will line up to pay those fines.

I feel old when some young punk revs his engine next to me at a stoplight and I get startled. I shake my fist at them, but that doesn't make me feel less threatened.

Because they are short about 140 officers. Of course they have a social media contract for $300,000 to a guy who has the grammatical and spelling skills of a 4th grader, but enough about that

They don’t take action in anything. Mayors office, metro council, dpw etc are all worthless. I love BR ( not sure why anymore, but am) heavily invested etc, but it is a dying town due to the lack of leadership from top to bottom

Inspection sticker and DWI checkpoints are a thing of the past for BRPD. I doubt they’ll ever be funding available again to have them on a regular basis. You can drive drunk, 24/7 in BR and never get caught, simply not enough city cops to enforce traffic laws. BRPD is allowing misdemeanors to be administered through a citation and the offender is let go. DWI is booked into the EBRPP at the officers discretion.

Things have certainly changed

I see 5 cars per day that don't have license plates. I'm not sure why I need to have my 6 year old truck inspected if that stuff can fly.

That's relatively small potatoes pal ! The sheer number of shite-box vehicles driving around B.R./N.O. with fake paper tags or NO plates at all, has become mind boggling...wth is going on with DMV registrations/enforcement ??

Good luck collecting that.

Why give tickets to people who won't pay?

Exactly!
Why do you suppose almost all of the red light cameras are in south Baton Rouge?

Oh, I agree, but some people pay.

Years ago, when they first installed them, the camera that produced the most income was Sherwood at Harrell’s Ferry, northbound. I think the number was 800k, I don’t remember the length of time it took.
The second highest income producer? - Sherwood at Harrell’s Ferry, southbound. Dollar amount was 600k.

My wife has like 10 of them. I just toss them in the trash and have been for a decade.
