The whole country is currently in a 'soft on crime' phase. Thanks BLM

I didn’t say anything about police stopping murders.

It drowns out gun shots

I was just gonna say it’s probably because they don’t want to get shot. And then on top of that, if and when they recover from bullet wounds, sued for doing the racism. Not quite as funny as yours.

You would really hate my naked turbo Busa with the 12" dump pipe as the only exhaust. It's got a shriek that is absolutely stunning in it's violence. And I couldn't care less what anyone thinks when they hear it.
Modifying your vehicle is as American as anything can be. It's what we do. And we're the best in the world at it.
Quit being such a crybaby contributing the decline in all things fun. Nobody likes Karens, neither the male or female versions.
Nobody likes whiney milquetoast snitches who don't have the balls to strap into or swing a leg over something that they don't have the talent or courage to operate.

As buzzed as I am right now, I'm surprised that's the only mistake I made.
Thanks for pointing it out so I could fix it.

I don't care about the loud exhaust vehicle that's properly maintained.
Get that Altima where the rear-end is collapsed into the back seat, the hood is duct taped shut, riding on two donuts, and has no working mirrors off the road.

At 25ft? No way. Show the part of the code on how they measure. 25ft behind, to the side, in an open parking lot, all that is going to make a huge difference on the results.

Fines range from $200 to $500 per offense. Decibel meters are $65 according to BRPD.
Good luck collecting that.
Why give tickets to people who won't pay?
Posted on 7/1/23 at 6:20 am to BurningHeart
Cops probably don’t want to pull people over just for exhaust bc it’s lame but they should maybe try and set up something like red light cameras for loud cars. Of course some would be people who got there catalytic converters stolen but maybe they could show proof of that and get the ticket thrown out.

Not 25 ft away dumbass
Think of the sound a hairdryer makes when it's in your hand, except it's 25 feet away.

A court can order the individual to surrender their license if convicted. LINK
If they dont even go to court, well that's a bench warrant. And guess how they can catch people with outstanding warrants? By stopping them for excessive noise.

Bold of you to assume that people with loud exhausts would pay these fines. Drive past a shitty complex in Baton Rouge and take note of all the nicer cars in parking spots. It’s more likely than not the vast majority of them are on leases that they can’t afford while they live in a shithole because street cred is more important to them than any real success in life.
