Why is the OT obsessed with Slidell?

I never hear anything about Mandeville or Covington. Why the obsession with Slidell? Seems like a decently normal bedroom community to me, maybe with a little heroin mixed in.

Mandeville/ Covington are normal small towns in most American states. They’re looked on so highly in Louisiana because this state is filled with little shite holes and they are semi-normal.

I’ve got extended family there and hate every minute I have to spend there. Slidell is the heroin-infused younger cousin that ruins the reputation of the north shore.
