That's what they want you to believe.

I bought a few ribeyes after the hurricane and didn’t notice much of a price difference. You talking the last couple weeks or something?

Eh. I never paid attention to grocery prices and even I'm stunned by the price on some things now. There was a very small beef roast in the cooler the other day with a $32 price sticker on it and I almost fell out.

Steaks haven't shocked me much yet, but that's mostly because I buy steak when we want to eat steak and not so much because its on sale. We split one between the two of us anyway, so the damage isn't too bad even when the price per pound is outrageous.

But yeah. I even noticed the $2.99 ground beef and chicken breast sale at Fresh Market on Tuesdays is now $3.99 beef.

Yikes.

I've bought them a few times there, but I don't remember what the price per pound was. I do know the package was $30 or so, so certainly not cheap.

At $44/lb, I may as well go to Ruth's Chris and order a filet off the menu.

Have you ever done the fajita little big meal at fresh market? I am thinking of going grab that this afternoon.

I almost bought it yesterday. I've never done the fajita one, but I think all of their Little Big Meals are great so I can't imagine you'll be disappointed. The meat all looked good to me when I was looking in the case.

The burger one is one of my favorites. The patties are massive. Oh, and the meal that is either a chicken sandwich or a crab cake sandwich. One of the items is this brand of aioli sauces that is really good. I think that one starts later this week, actually.

I've actually never purchased a crab leg before. Something I guess I just don't think about. I actually don't know if I've ever even eaten one before.

It’s not an animal shortage that’s for sure. My tin foil hat thinks it’s a conspiracy to get us off of red meat and stop all those climate changing cow farts. Processing plants have us by the balls I don’t buy the Covid excuse anymore

Inflation, coupled with increased labor costs due to the fact that someone recently tried to assasinate the entire family that owns the largest cattle ranch in Montana.

I can't read the label - that looks like rib roast - if it's prime - $20-something a pound isn't that crazy.

And you think I am kidding. They really want to do that- and they will do it in the name of climate change

AND Air-Conditioning. The American Radical Left will certainly one day plan to attempt to outlaw air-conditioning in non-Govt buildings, especially if the American South continue its resistance to The Great Re-set.
