I'm glad there is one other intelligent adult in this discussion.

its just a weird thing to be upset about. If you don't want to go, don't go. Why are so invested in this?

My point was, this is typical of the kind of micromanaging that is holding our state back, including our state universities.

I don't work for LSU, I gotta work Tuesday, and we are closing at 3 pm Monday.

They might... but that's Harvard's decision to make, not a bunch of appointed political people.
Yeah! How come Harvard doesn’t have political state employees callings it’s shots?!

Oh yeah...

The university is NOTORIOUS for boneheaded failures when it comes to logical closures. Good on the BOS.

No, they are supposed to provide guidance but NOT make decisions. SACS investigations puts schools on probation that do otherwise. No, not on stuff this minor but things done with the process of the Board making the decision.

On let the president of the university try to implement something none of the BOS agree with.... see if it gets implemented.

IMO thats who really is the decision maker.

I don’t give a crap about the BOS having the authority. However, they also cancelled the lab school for 2 days bc they are associated with LSU. That’s annoying.

There's a very real chance the governor declares Tuesday a state holiday.

I'll allow it.

But this is an example of doing little things right. The school made the wrong call and it was corrected.

It truly shows how retarded the OP is when you and I find ourselves in agreement.

You realize even if the schedule change was presented from the administration, the board would still have to approve.

President switch happened officially on 1/1 so Milligan has been busy with other things.

Show up or don't show up. Nobody is giving a test on the first day.

There are a lot of Jr/Sr level courses where the professor can drop you if you are absent on the first day. That’s pretty important for people who are trying to graduate

I spoke to a staff member today who is way more interested in academics than sports. She said they still have to go to work and she didnt see what the big deal was, she probably would not watch the game anyway. True story.

It’s because LSU absolutely has their priorities properly aligned as first an educational institution of Higher Learning !!!

I'm more intelligent than most of JBE's and Jindal's political appointees on the BOS.

You have actually made no actual argument on the point. Just conjecture and pushing your personal opinion. Which proves the point opposite of intelligence. You definitely wouldn’t have been on the high school debate team.
