My wife cooks maybe twice per month. I cook probably 10 times per month. Not sure what happened to this generation.
This issue is waaay down low on the totem pole for me as far as issues I care about though.

Younger chicks think it's beneath them to cook for the most part. That's my observation any way.

I thoroughly enjoy cooking. I try to cook 4 nights a week but some weeks are more tiring than others. It's a stress reliever for me.

Show her the broiler and how to work the timer. Next, introduce her to a can opener. Let her do the simple weekday meals and you do the complicated weekend meals.
