Why are they largely ignored?
They are smaller and are wedged right in the middle of the 2 narcissistic ages.
They are screwed
We have 2 old white guys, and one will be POTUS
After that is will probably be a millennial and everybody born between say 1958 and 1988 is gonna get screwed.

It's fun to talk about but I think the cultural divide is really people who grew up with the internet, cellphones etc and those that didn't
Us millennial and Gen x should stick together. Our focus should be on those idiot Boomers who have fricked up everything they've touched since the 60s.

My parents are older Boomers (1949 & 1953) and both are good human beings. I don't fault them for being born in a certain time period.
I think most stereotypes exist for a reason but I know a lot of cool Boomers and millennials.
Our kids are Gen Z and I'm trying not to screw them up too much

These threads are always useful to keep me updated on the demographics of TD

Gen X should be called out more for their complete & utter shite parenting. Who do you think is responsible for all the blue haired tranny pans trans them kids?

We were the last generation with true freedom from our parents. We went to the mall etc and couldn’t be tracked down. We wanted a drivers license ASAP.
We didn’t want to be home and our ex hippie parents didn’t want us there during their cig smoking and liquor fueled pool parties.
We were called apathetic, slackers, lazy… but now we’re in all the boardrooms.

Gen X is responsible for Right Said Fred.

Our youngest is 16 but both of them are pretty normal kids/young adults. Not trans, gay or green hair. The younger one is at the beach with 4 kids from school and one adult. Poor lady
Probably doing the same stupid shite I did at 16 to a lesser degree. She's not nearly as wild as I was.

Happy Gen X article
quote:
A generation once labeled “slackers,” detached and melancholic has grown up to find out that reality doesn’t bite as much it seemed when they were younger.
To the contrary, most of the 84 million Americans ages 30 to 50 are “active, balanced and happy,” according to the authors of “The Generation X Report,” a research report from the University of Michigan’s Longitudinal Study of American Youth.

Because we handled everything, while our parents ignored us. Bought our first home in our early 20's, waited to get married. Work hard and play harder. Leave the bitching to other generations.

You mean like getting up everyday, going to work, and keeping things going. That “lack of doing anything noteable”? Yeah, we haven’t contributed shite.
Many of you frickers do need blame though for raising shitty kids. I’ll note that contribution cause it’s awful.

Gen X is slowly accepting the fact that we are now the only adults in the room and will be changing the literal/metaphorical diapers of the Boomer and Z populations for the rest of our lives.
Is... is it possible that we will become known as the Second Greatest Generation?
