Why is fast food chain service so much better in the Midwest than in the south?

Traveling through Iowa and so I stopped at a Wendy’s and the service was 10x better than anything I get in north Louisiana. The people could understand my order, I could understand them, nothing was wrong with my order and it just seemed to be an overall more pleasant experience. Why can’t our food chains down here be this way?

Some of you grew up used to culture and experience it every single day.

To the rest of us, it's still shocking.

That’s an awfully long rhetorical question.
