I guess my point was, IMO the chicken is too bland to eat on it's own, and they don't have any sauce that makes it appealing. Popeyes chicken is good on it's own...canes has bland chicken and fries, but the sauce saves it

If Popeye's had their service, I would have had a few heart attacks by now.

Ah, that makes more sense. Have you tried their spicy chicken sandwich, or just going off of the normal chicken? Popeyes, I'm not eating their normal chicken without some type of sauce either. Spicy is great, but their normal fried chicken isn't much different, it just has a thicker/crunchier batter.
ETA: And I'm not ragging on Popeyes. As I've said in this thread, I think it is probably the best pure fried chicken as far as flavor is concerned.

this is a such a simple concept to warrant the almost monthly thread that it gets
good food + consistently good service + fast and cheap = win

Totally agree.... Anyone who orders popeyes mild should really be at a different restaurant. And not even sure...it's been years since I've gone to CFA so don't remember what all I've had...some biscuits, some nuggets, some sandwiches... was just never impressed. As I said...it's good...but not good enough in my mind to justify the cult follow it seems to have

Despite "hot takes...edgy behavior...sarcasm" becoming a major factor in interpersonal communications, customers spending money still wish, it seems, to be treated with some modicum of respect, civility and courtesy. Go figure.

yea...I get that part of the equation. But it's all a sliding scale. I can forgive shite service to an extent as long as the food is good enough...likewise to a lesser extent, I can excuse a meal that missed the mark a bit if I feel the staff was really doing their best to take care of me as a customer. At the end of the day...good service or no, CFA doesn't have any food that I find worth spending my money on.

Good food.
Good service (no "i cream machine broke").
Christians love the shite out of it.

Their signature CFA sauce is good, I'd recommend it

I love the CFA sauce. Stuff is so addicting. I doubt he'd like it though. It is definitely very sweet

yea...I really don't like my food to be sweet...except Chinese food....weird exception for some reason haha

I generally just enjoy contrasts. The salty/spicy and sweet balance well together.

Because it's better than McDonalds..
McDonalds is a successful food chain and if I had the option between going to one or the other.. No question I am going to Chick Fil A because I like their product more than McDonalds and I know I am less likely to have any problems. My order is more likely to be correct.. If it isn't, it will not be that big of an issue to get it fixed.

Service wise, they aren't much different. You can probably find some McD's that have better service than BK, but both are largely on the same level in that regard now.

Not around Baton Rouge area. The Wendy's around BR are slower than Popeye's, though slightly more accurate.
Granted, every franchise around BR has terrible employees (except Chik-fil-a).
