Also if you haven’t already bought plane tickets, consider flying into Oakland. Much less traffic and hassle.

Don’t waste time looking for an “all inclusive” winery. I was just in Napa and enjoyed the small tastings and bartenders much more than the big tours, etc. The tasting bartenders are knowledgeable and the more you talk and are interested the more likely they are to show you around the wineries.
Chimney Rock Winery was our absolute favorite. The best wine we had on our whole trip! Walk in and split a $50 tasting. Domaine Carneros Winery has a sparkling wine flight that I reccomend and the view is great! It’s hard to go wrong in Napa with all the different places, just don’t waste your time on the big touristy places.

SW flights are always cheapest on Tuesdays and booking right when the window opens often gets a bad deal.

Because it’s the Lords chicken

“Fair” in a relationship doesn’t exist. Everyone dies what they can and when one falls short the other picks up the slack.

Definitely go to Daytona Taproom on Seabreeze Blvd. Great food & beer. When I lived there it was a favorite. There’s tons of beach restaurants once you cross over the bridge to beachside, like Ocean Deck. It’s right on the beach and laid back.
Austin, TX at the beginning of June.

Any recs on outdoor things to do? I already know Hamilton Pool, Barton Springs, Schilitterbah, but any other places to go hiking, swimming, etc?
Any of your favorite places to eat or wine bars are greatly appreciated as well.
Thanks!

All reds are a must! I’ve heard good things about Yountville. Any places you recommend staying there?

Hey y’all! Going to Napa at the end of August. Any suggestings on places to stay, where to eat, what wineries to visit, or anything else that’s a must see?

So many questions get answered in Republic. I liked it better than RSURS. If you loved the first book, keep reading. Republic shouldn’t disappoint.

I went through this about 2 years ago. I was a chef and I was at work, literally, all day, everyday. I wasn’t doing anything “good”. I wasn’t fulfilled. It got to the point where I completely hated my job and every minute I spent there. I went to culinary school and have the degree in restaurant business management and hospitality, I was good at what I did, but I had absolutely no life and I wasn’t enjoying anything.
I took the leap of faith, quit my job, and worked odd jobs till I found what I was looking for. I’m a firefighter now and I couldn’t be happier with the decision I made to leave what I was “supposed” to be doing. I’m healthier, happier. I love what I do & why I do it.
Take the leap. It’s worth it.
