re: Why is Chick Fil A so popular?

anything... I haven't eaten chick-fil-a since it was the only thing open during union construction when I was a student. For chicken specifically, popeyes. Yea the staff are dumber than rocks and it takes longer....but I am willing to deal with both for food with flavor. Chick fil a is just bland to me and every sauce I've had is just sweet for me.

I just sip on my sweet tea and enjoy the throwback to a time when no one was ever in a hurry.
I stopped at the popeyes in Sorrento last week on my way home from work because I was really wanting some spicy tenders. It was going to be 8 more minutes for spicy. I ahd to settle for Mild

I've been going to Chic-Fil-A since the 1980's, but I live in Alabama which is next door to the HQ in GA. I guess it's just now taking off in other parts of the country in recent years, thus the controversy.

What do you get at popeye's vs chick fil a?

Their ranch or buffalo sauce was sweet to you?

They over staff their stores. You still have the same idiots disregarding food safety working in these places.

Also people think its healthy because it's chicken
This too. People say, nah im getting canes or chic fil a today. Chicken is healthy. They dont realize they are eating shite when you add up the batter, the fries, the sauces, and any drink other than water you have.

Here is the real issue:
Would they be just as profitable without taking any religious or political stances, with everything else being the same?

Same here. I agree the service is better and you'll likely get through as fast as a standard line. I just don't think the food is all that great. It's not worse than the other fast food restaurants. It's just not that much better to me. I'm lucky though. The popeye's near me is probably the fastest one I've ever been to and gets you through just as quick as any regular fast food place. I'm going there for some spicy tenders over chic fil a.

their service is good, but i dont think their food is that good.

Their spicy chicken deluxe sammich is one of the best out there. If you don't think that is good, then I can't help you.
I can understand preferences is style of fried chicken. Theirs is a very light amount of batter. As far as pure taste of their chicken though, only one that is easily better flavor wise is Popeyes IMO (fast food wise). Quality wise, no other place compares.

1. The food is good
2. They actually care about hiring quality employees which is rare in fast food. They don’t just hire some bum off the street like everywhere else

if popeyes had better service ... game over

Not really. Besides the chicken being fried, they serve pretty different products. Popeyes and chick fil a have never been together when trying to decide where I wanted to eat. They offer a very different option. If I'm craving one, I wouldn't go to the other to be able to satisfy that itch.
ETA: Where like Canes and a Zaxby's offer a very similar product overall.

I wanted to dislike CFA because of their corporate insistence on religious values and social/political stances, but their food and customer service and general operational efficiency are too good to dismiss them.
If they ever turn away people due to race, religion, sexual orientation, etc, I’ll revisit my stance, but as long as they’re making great food and treating their customers with friendliness and efficiency, I’ll be a customer.
The spicy chicken sandwich and those nuggets are just too damn good.
The only advice I would give to CFA would be to leave politics and social/moral issues at the door and continue doing what they do best ... great food and great service at a good price.

Good food
They don't use any processed chicken so it's better quality
Great service

I'm not crazy about ranch on fried chicken, and I don't care for their buffalo
Posted on 6/11/18 at 1:29 pm to BrohemAlem11
Okay, then that is fine, but I don't get how you can criticize their sweet sauces for being sweet.
