It’s exactly like that. Courts are much smaller requiring less movement.

That’s kinda cool. Don’t need all that running around anyway.

It’s easy enough for anyone to play. Like ping pong tennis in slow motion

Frisbee golf requires a lot of space whereas pickle ball can be played on existing tennis courts with a little repainting. I’ve seen all ages play including a lot of Dads and sons teaming up. It gets people outside, the equipment is inexpensive, and it can be a good workout if you play singles.

I mean, at some point, we're just gonna have to kick both their asses ourselves, right?

It would have to be one on one because I will have a team with me in case shite pops off the wrong way.

We joined a club here in KC. They have pickle ball courts. I took a pickle 101 session the other day and have to say it was a lot of fun. Looking forward to playing more.

People still play disc golf. I'm not sure if frisbee golf is a thing anymore.

My church has a group playing 3 simultaneous games cross court in the gym 2 nights a week. They’re all over 50, with the occasional younger player joining in.

Only people I know that play pickleball are 65+ and they dress like they're playing real tennis.

I used to think this when I saw the old people playing at the YMCA. My neighborhood turned one of the tennis courts into Pickleball courts and it has been awesome.

I’ve been playing for about two years and it has been great. At first you are confused about the rules, then you start getting beat by those 65+ folks and then you learn how to play.

My neighborhood has socials on Friday nights where we play some games then drink some drinks. Then we can carve out some competitive games with the good players.
The best thing about it, you make of it how you want to make of it. I enjoy playing really competitive games with good players. I also enjoy playing with new players and maybe trying out some different drops and new spins while teaching them the game.

I used to enjoy curling, and in my opinion Pickleball is a more athletic curling, but most of all it is what you make of it.

covid pushed it to super popularity

It's pretty amazing, I played tennis in high school and college - played ping pong religiously during college. Pickleball is more fun than both of them - mostly because a team of 65 year olds can steamroll 21 year olds and there are always a lot of people around our area.

Try it out, cost to entry is cheap - shoot, most people will let you borrow their paddle to try a game or two, it's a great social game

ETA: and all of the players tend to just want more people playing
