Why has Facebook become so trashy?

Seems like everytime I login there is a fight about a single baby momma thats not even 25 yet and her ex not paying child support or something of the like. Now it does give me great pleasure to read the trashiness that involves other people, but I think its time to give it the axe.

Last time I used FB, I could only see posts of my friends on my feed. If that hasn't changed, then maybe you shouldn't associate with trashy people.

I don’t associate with trashy people, therefore my Facebook feed is usually just pictures from bach parties or boating weekends.

Considering your facebook feed is made up of people you're friends with, I think the better question is why do you associate with trashy people?

Facebook is only as trashy as the people you're friends with, so if there's a lot of trash on your feed perhaps you know too many trashy people.
Very little trash on mine, just a whole lot of veiled racism from the baby boomers. Most of them are family or friends' parents.

Well considering 85% of my facebook friends are from Ascension, Iberville, Livingston, and Assumption parrishes, its hard to escape trash
