I've often asked why no 30 for 30 on the Saints?

Throw Tulane in there as well. Both teams played all their “home” games away.

I hope someone does one at some point.

The Southern accents alone would be offensive.

Not to mention Hollywood’s bastardization of Louisiana culture.

In the movie, they are liable to write in a Gumbo Party.

It’d be really cool if they made a movie about the cops stealing all the Cadillacs.

Bad Lieutenant 2 takes place after Katrina. It wasn't a huge budget but plenty of well known actors in it.

So, which actor plays the people that detonated charges in the levee to help it break?

All major catastrophic events are exploited by Politicians and The American Red Cross. To funnel all funds into their pockets. See Haiti, Katerina, etc..etc..

All improvements done are normally done by church groups and faith based organizations..

The movie would just complicate the narrative.

You could have thousands of people lined up screaming, "oh no a flood is coming, o no!" Then someone screams, "hide in your basement." "We don't have a basement!" "Then dig one, hurry!" A frantic scene as thousands of New Orleaners dig basements to escape the coming flood.
The mayor stands at the city hall screaming, "don't move them buses!!!!, gas is expensive!" and the governor stays at the TV in a zombic semi-coma, mumbling "black water." While our star in walking in hip deep water with his case of beer and a big smile. "I gots me some beer!"

Benjamin Button referenced it. When the old lady was dying, they were in the hospital waiting on it to arrive.

Hours starring Paul Walker

I seem to remember Will Smith was going to star in one, maybe back in the early 2010s, but I guess that fell apart?

The series Treme, which i know isn't a major movie, but its a 3 season series, that touches on a lot that happened after Katrina.

Because if honest, it would focus on the act S. Mississippi caught the brunt of the storm and there was no drama there compared to NOLA - no one gives a shite about S. MS.
