Why has a major movie never been made about Katrina?

obviously there have been documentaries and some movies inspired by elements of the storm, but why has a blockbuster movie about the aftermath of the storm never been made? I'm sure dozens of separate screenplays could be written about individual aspects of the disaster. With the amount of crazy shite that went down after the storm in NOLA I'm surprised Hollywood hasn't taken advantage of it.

Anyone have any insight into this?

Because it would shine a light on the massive corruption in inner cities that are run by democrats.

Who wants to see that shite show again?

All though, it would be interesting to watch me creep around Madison County, MS looking for gas at 2am.

Do you really want to see a movie made by Hollywood that focus’s on a certain segment of the population that couldn’t get out and blamed Bush for all their failures in life?

Because Katrina never happened. It was a massive fraud used to bilk billions from insurance companies and the government.

I've often asked why no 30 for 30 on the Saints?

My guess is the organization does not want to remind people of threats to move to San Antonio

The Southern accents alone would be offensive.

The greatest damage from the hurricane was on the MS gulf coast

But black people refusing to leave NO, and then suffering as a result, gave the TV networks a perfect visual

Josh Brolin could combine his performances from W, Sicario, and Infinity War to portray the evil mastermind president who blew up levees
