I go for the restaurants. Nothing better than spending all day drinking some beer and then getting some great seafood later.

because some of us actually enjoy the sand, the nice breeze, the water....its a great vacation with kids and overall I just love the beach lifestyle.
wtf is there to do in the mountains? go hiking...boring AF
they have some good things in the mountains, dont get me wrong, like jumping into ice cold water, white water rafting, 4 wheel riding etc
but man for me, its hard to beat a cold drink in 1 hand, standing in waist deep water throwing the ball around with my boys or a good game of sand football with them
i have always liked the beach, but enjoy it much more as a dad and seeing the smiles on their faces when they catch a good wave on the boogie board or how much fun they have just not having a care in the world running around on the sand etc.

I’d much prefer the emerald coast in October but that’s when the jelly fish are bad.

Why do you give a shite what other people do for vacation? Everyone enjoys different activities. I wouldn't go to NYC if it was a free trip but I won't judge anyone who goes there. To each there own

because they are fat AF. Most fat guys hate the sand because its difficult for them to move around and on the gulf coast with a really wide beach, they are exhausted by the time they even get to the chair. Forget about them being able to run around and actually enjoy the sand
not to mention the sand gets in their fat rolls and rubs them raw
for me....the sand is fricking awesome!

I don't enjoy just sitting there for hours but I enjoy a day on the beach for sure.

I'm 20 lbs overweight but I dont have a gut or rolls hanging out.
My thing about the sand is I just hate the texture and hate cleaning it out of everything. When I was in the CG they used to make us
tread water and then roll around in the shite....so that prob has something to do with it too. I also hate getting it out of my toddler's hair.
last time I went my toddler found some animal doo doo in the sand and added it to her sand castle haha.
