Why does every young reporter today write their articles like they're Mark Twain?

I feel like every article I read is just oozing with drama and hyperbole. It feels impossible to just get the facts anywhere without a crap ton of bias injected into it and the author writing in a way that makes it seem like whatever they're writing about is the single greatest thing that's ever happened on the face of the earth.
Does anyone else notice this? I just want to know what's going on without the interjection of insane hyperbole.

Cause they think they’re important and super talented.

There's no such thing as "reporters" anymore. They are all editors of this world and we are just living in it.

If it’s an advocate link, don’t click it.
If you click an advocate link and it’s a Gallo article, don’t read it.
That should solve most of your problems.

They may try, but they have none of the actual talent and grasp of grammar and the English language to be anywhere close.
I wasn't kidding, though, when I said the article about the radioactive super boars in Fukushima being the best I have read in a long time.

not even that, went on a trip last month with my best friend from hs who is a retired sports writer(Picayune,) I was asking him why there is so much grammatical and spelling errors in "news" articles these days, no more editing? he said for the last several years of his career(and he did a lot of editing,) reporters are told to get whatever they can online to be first, even it's not a complete story and just a few paragraphs, just be first

I don't know if I'd compare them to Mark Twain, but they write to PERSUADE not to INFORM.

It’s the same thing for any online recipes you look up. They start out with some long winded story about how they used to eat X when paw paw and maw maw had the family to the lake house during the summers. Blah blah blah

Mark Twain was actually good writer though

I feel like these days everyone thinks they are important, or that they want to be important. From dumbass libs who have every mental illness there is, or describe themselves as Demi sexual, to white christians who feel like they are victims of persecution. I think since everyone has a voice on the internet they cannot bear the truth that no one is special or important, and have to invent reasons why they are different or some kind of a victim.

They do not because their writing is not as good as Twain.
"Reporters" today are a product of 24-hour "news" opinion shows. They believe their job as "reporters" is to make a difference; not report the news. Put on top of that most think they are smarter than the average bear because they got a degree, then you have what you have today. Snarky opinion trying to be "news."

It’s like listening to these “educated” graduates use 6 dollar words they obviously have little grasp of. It makes them seem even more ignorant

That is just the thing about Twain's style, verbose is not even close to how he wrote. Twain would not say something in 100 words when 10 will do.

Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain) is rolling in his grave being compared to those SJWs.

Oh my god it’s the worst.
Put the simple recipe at the top. Ingredients, temp and cook time.
Put your story at the bottom. No one wants to sit through a bad diatribe for a shitty recipe

Sidebar: The funniest thing about today's reporters is they like to throw in an fbomb or something every once in a while to be edgy! Barstool sports cracks me up when I read their articles. They also seem to love af. Everything is af.
He was mad af
That dog was hungry af
etc...

Yep, the clickbait model. That's all news media is.
I know at ESPN they have to generate a certain amount of likes or comments.
