Why does every female think they’re an artist?

I get it. Their mind is usually more creative than man’s, and I understand there are some real artistic people out there.
With that said, why does every cul de sac housewife think she can make jewelry, cut hair, paint canvases, interior decorate, etc better than the average person? The worst is when they think they’re some sort of fashion aficionado. Your husband wears dad jeans and a fishing shirt to work.

My wife fully admits that she sucks at arts and crafts.
She's had some pretty funny Pinterest fails. She tried to make homemade citronella torches once. The instructions called for thin wire to fasten the tops. She didn't have any so she used twine. It exploded a few minutes after this pic

The same reason that 93% of professors think they are above average teachers. It’s called Illusionary Superiority, and most all of us suffer from it to one extent or another.
Side note: people tend to suffer from illusionary superiority in simpler tasks and illusionary inferiority in more challenging ones. If that tells you anything about jewelry making and hair cutting and teaching
