Why does a particular segment of the population say dates a certain way?

What I mean is when giving their date of birth to someone, instead of saying "September 13th" they'll say "9th, 13th, 42" or some stupid shite like that. It never fails -- they ALWAYS say it this way -- and it aggravates the shite out of me each time.

Rant over. I'll go check my privilege now.

I've never heard anyone say a date like that.

You hang around with some weird "AARP" baws.

I’ve never heard it said like that.

Are you sure he isn’t saying nine - thirteen - forty-two?

Do you have a lot of wax build up?

So instead of saying 9-13-42, you want them to say "September 13th, nineteen forty-two"?

Why aren't you smart enough to know what the 9th month is?

Terd, you failed at pattern recognition.
He gave you september, so
9th = month.

No one ever said that to me once.

Does the op work in a context where op asks public to state their birth info, like in a pharmacy?

If we explained everything to you, you'd never learn to figure these things out on your own.

Write a 2-3 page paper on the question by tomorrow at 6pm. Cite your sources.

I'll give you a hint to start: Google dialect and go from there.

I don't add the st, nd, th ect...at the end of the numbers though.

I thought this was going to be about people who say “on tomorrow” or “on yesterday.”
