Mostly because it's so dumb. Neither the anthem nor the flag stand for what they feel is wrong with the country.

I don't. When I turn on ESPN I want to see sports highlights not politics

I couldn’t care less. Folks fought and died for people’s right to do it.

I mean, if you’re gonna wear a flag on your dick or over your tits to the lake for “Merica” day then you are just as bad.

But, frick me for having an opinion different than anyone else.

I care about these fricking pampered rich assholes acting that their worlds are so horrible. And coming out of the woodwork with their posturing and crying over a single incident, while steadfastly ignoring the much larger, nationwide problem of blacks routinely killing other blacks, and the unchecked birthrate of babies without Daddies.

I don't get how the anthem is considered so sacred that kneeling is taken as an insult, but leaving out 3 of the 4 verses is no problem.

Seriously. Why does it chap your arse to see people kneel during the national anthem?

because i paid, or tuned in, to see a sporting event, not to see a political demonstration that is pure racism based on false narratives

call a press conference and kneel and be political before or after the event on your own time and your own dime

Really it's about control. Some white people really want to control what black people say, when they can speak and what they are allowed to say. Anything other than full control enrages certain white people.

If someone wants to kneel during the anthem to make a statement about the institutional treatment of black citizens, I understand what message they are sending. It doesn't offend or threaten me.

But man, a lot of white people feel like they have the right to control the black people and their message. They say stupid shite like, "They are disrespecting the flag." No they aren't. I've never heard a kneeler say that they are disrespecting the flag. That's a white person spinning and changing what the kneelers are saying to exert their self-assumed right to declare what the black people are saying, to change the message to make it illegitimate. It's a pathology.

The kneelers are simply kneeling to express their own message about what they consider to be their grievance regarding race treatment. They aren't being disruptive or disrespectful. White people need to lighten up and maybe listen once in a while.

I don’t give a shite if someone wants to do it. I get pissed if kneelers act like I’m a bad person because I don’t want to protest the way they do.

I for one hate this kneeling thing has came back. We argued about this for months on end just a couple of years ago. Then it kind of went away and everyone moved on.

If you wanna kneel, go for it.
If you wanna stand, then stand.

I don't care either way. I just want to watch football!
