But naming your kid John or Mark is better? Why not just same Baby Boy 1 and Baby Boy 2

Yeah it's much, much better.

Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Andrew, Gregory, Thomas, James, Robert, Richard, Paul, George, Peter, Philip, Stephen, Joshua, Jacob, and Benjamin will never be discounted by a cursory glance at the top of a resume and they won't ever have to slouch in their seat in the first day of every single college class they ever take.

Ill have to admit. First thing I do when I look at a resume is look at work exp and then college.

The name isnt even looked at really. Thats for the admin to look at to call and setup the interview

While I hate travel ball names, the only jobs I think those get tossed out for are jobs in which you are going through tons of resumes, not jobs of actual consequence that have defined rolls/degrees.

Assumptions are made based on first names. It's always been that way

Solid

Girls names are cute and classical, and boys names are not weird and I could have a beer with them

Well done Roscoe

So normal parents don't want to step out of the norm by naming their kid something less popular. It's easier.

You also have generational names. I have the same legal name as my pawpaw and dad, but go by a unique name. Ironically, none of us have gone by our first name

Nolan - boy? Harper - ??

Josie and hank are for sure solid female and male names. But the unisex potential in the first 2 sux. Especially in today's sensitive world where if someone "assumes" wrong based on tradition.

Nolan and Harper are unisex to you?

Clearly boy and girl names to me. Josie makes me think its possibly a boy just because of those douche parents of Josey Wales

Nolan = boy
Harper = girl
Josie = girl
Hank = boy

I didn't think I'd have to spell this out
