Why do so many women of color wear a wig nahdays?

Actually alot of times it's because of hair loss.

Coincidentally, I asked a woman of color this the other day.
The feedback I got is that some have "good hair" while others have "bad hair".
The level of nappiness is the deciding factor, apparently.

I'm going to assume that you're just really ignorant about other cultures and their hair. Especially to say something like:
To clear that ignorance up, natural hair is coarse. More coarse than a lot of other races. Thicker if you will. That being said, to keep natural coarse hair looking nice or manageable takes a lot of time and care. Can't just put it in a bun and go to sleep and wake up, fluff it out, and be on your way.
For instance, a young (or old) white lady can lay down with her hair as it is and be fine the next morning granted she combs it out. A young black lady would have possible fizzed hair that might take a lot longer to comb out on top of needing to moisturize.
Wearing something that's synthetic or easier to manage (less products for care and etc such as for wigs) makes life easier. Plus its takes less time to do.

Once you get into curly and kinky hair types, it's easier to wear wigs, weaves or extensions than to deal with it every day. Hair types 3A-4C require a lot of maintenance. And plenty of white women wear wigs and shite.
