it's pretty simple... they had more confidence to talk to her than you did...

most attractive girls that are with unattractive guys say the same thing... most guys don't even talk to them, because guys are typically intimidated to just walk up to a pretty girl and talk to them, fearing rejection...

the ugly dude ain't got much to lose, and all he's gotta do is shoot his shot... worst case, he ends the night the same way as the good looking dude that was afraid to shoot his...

if you muster the confidence, and then just don't come off like a dickhead and/or creep, you have a relatively high chance of success....

Both jobs you are talking about are pretty good jobs. Welllll above average. To give an accurate answer we would need more details. How did they meet? How long have they been together, what did they look like when they first met, etc? What do you mean by "ugly"? There's not that many ugly guys in the world, they just might not be universally attractive like you. And I'd just guess about 50% of hot women out there don't care about a bit of a beer gut if there are other strong attributes she sees.

I'd put the percentage of hot women who doesn't care about physical build and facial structure about the same percentage I'd put the divorce rate of their parents generation 50-60%. Several women come from broken homes and it's these that have a higher probability of not caring about the looks or if one of their parents is much better looking then the other etc.

Another thing to consider is the women don't find the man ugly, and there's something about his physical attributes she does like that others do not necessarily see.

In a lot of scenarios, great looking women have dated, slept with, been married too, etc, the good looking man, maybe more than once and has made the determination looks is overrated for one reason or another. Often times women don't realize or care that they themselves are hot and highly sought after and don't want the attention of being single.

Sometimes it's co-workers that met through work. Sometimes it's mutual friends who introduced them.
In both situations that average looking or "ugly" guy is going to take precedent over a random attractive guy.

Most of what they've posted in this thread I can agree with 100% too.
