I dont have the cash to have a box full of watches. I dont even like jewelry for men for the most part. I only have two or three nice watches but IF I had the money, it is something I would spend it on
Love to have a couple expensive watches more than I do. Hell, I fell in love with the look of this cheap thing and have not pulled the trigger on it.

What a shitty take.
Why do you wear nice clothes? You could just wear a robe everywhere. It serves the same purpose.

I wear one because I like it. And, I wear some unique ones that sometimes are conversation starters.

I appreciate the thought that goes into a well made automatic watch - everything from Seiko to Patek. I don't love the Swiss brand circumvention or other issues that come with it, so I'm very selective. I buy and sell on the secondhand market, making improvements if needed along the way. Its a small hobby, and I've made small hobby money off it.

Why do people wear clothes? Is it really necessary unless extremely cold setting?

I have a Seiko wind up watch. I think it was 150 bucks.

maybe they like them, or it is their hobby?

This will not go well on the OT
But I agree with you
An adult male wearing a watch is pretty cringe.

I have loved watches since Arnold wore a Seiko "Arnie" in Predator.
My parents gave me the Casio copy of it from Service Merchandise when I was in the 6th grade.
My phone tells time really well, and I do have an Apple watch for fitness.
But, no one stops you to ask about your phone like they do a Sinn because they've never seen one in person.
No one cares about your Apple watch, but I get asked a lot about my Seiko Mod that's a GMT version of James Bond's Submariner- yep, he wore a Rolex before Omega.
And, it's neat to meet people who have never even heard of Doxa but when they see my Army that was one of the first ones in the US and appreciate the story of how Clive Cussler worked at a dive shop who sold them so when he made the Dirk Pitt character- Dirk wore a Doxa.
And that's only 3 of the ones I have. Each one has a story, and each one is special. To each his own, I guess.

An adult male caring about what another adult male wears is ridiculous.

Comfort. Wearing a watch on your wrist is not comfortable. They do not serve the same purpose

I disagree
I personally would not call wearing a watch everyday as "living"
Most poser fig boys wear watches. For me they just get in the way when you actually work with your hands, play a sport with your kid, or hold your wife
Why would you want to be burdoned all the time?

My waste of money watch is worth 5k more than I paid for it.
