because boomers fricked them by making them take out completely optional loans for optional additional education and apparently did not let them read the terms of said loans or remind them they are 18 and responsible for themselves and now they can't pay it back for reasons - or afford reliable transportation.

Driving drunk with a tumbler of alcohol in the center console of your truck is trashy. But here we are.

Cheaper than a DUI or paying for parking in Atlanta.

Typically Uber cars are much nicer than cabs, and they show up in a matter of minutes.

So is Rideshare a different company all together? Or is this just new lingo for all Uber and Lyft?

I gotta tell you...I gotta plead ignorance on this.

$8 is cheaper than a DUI and, unlike cabs, Ubers actually show up in a matter of minutes.

Uber is probably one the greatest innovations of the last 20 years.

I definitely use Uber and Lyft. I like knowing the pricing ahead of time.

Ok...Rideshare sounded to me like a different version of the 2. I watch the national news and "A rideshire driver is accused of beating up its passenger " or "A rideshire passenger thought she was getting in with the right driver".

Again...is Uber considered "Rideshare"?

Its just a general term for Uber, Lyft, etc. You arent actually sharing the ride with anyone except the driver.

There is an option that you can share an Uber with other riders, but that is definitely trashy.

I think you can share an Uber or Lyft ride if you want. I've never done that.

But yes, Uber or Lyft are "rideshares".

Because when I'd call a cab and maybe they'd show up in 10 minutes or maybe in an hour or maybe never. Plus cabbies are known for intentionally taking longer routes because there is no GPS to reference. And the credit card machine "works" about as often as the McDonald's shake machine.

Wasn't the original intention with Uber to be a carpool service, not necessarily to replace taxis?
