What do you love about the French Market? It is a glorified flea market at this point.

Miami is awesome. Tons of hot Cuban/Latina girls in South Beach. Better food than New Orleans. Luxury high-rise condos and hotels. Much more exotic compared to NYC and LA. It’s expensive, but it’s worth visiting.

Who the frick gets married in New Orleans during the SUmmer???

Yeah, New Orleans is a desert town in the middle of the Summer when it's 115 degrees...congrats on your cheap hotel rates.

Come back during the Fall, Winter and Spring

The frick are you talking about? These people are old money. Easily spent 500k on that wedding. Rooms were 550/night, which isn’t too bad. I don’t control when people get married.

Some of y’all get so fricking butthurt over that shitstain of a city.

I already live in a crime infested shithole city.

I have developed natural immunity, ergo, trips to Jambalaya-land don't affect me as much.

Same with Memphis, Charleston, Baltimore, etc.

Keep your head on a swivel, money in the front pocket, avoid certain neighborhoods/streets and enjoy the music and entertainment of the tourist areas.

I will say that NO has the bad parts either crammed or overlapping with the good. In a lot places there is a lot more segregation or at least heavy police presence to maintain order.

Latoya’s attitude does the city no favors. When she’s gone a lot of the venom that the city gets will begin to fade IMO.

I REALLY want to believe this. Unfortunately, one of the first things that I learned growing up in New Orleans was this...NEVER tell voters that they can't do worse than what they previously elected. They take that as a personal challenge.

Why do people go to Disney world?

They are unoriginal nitwits. That is why.

People ask me all the time where to stay and eat. I tell them not to go. They clearly don’t advertise how bad it is.

It’s probably like going to Mexico or any other Central American country. Tourists see the good and fun stuff, and most don’t experience the bad. For example, when I was traveling to the resort in Costa Rica, some areas on the way were ghetto. And outside of that, houses had barred windows. Poverty everywhere, but in the paradise areas. Where they worked hard, to provide us a good experience. I was shocked at what the saw poverty-wise between the resorts. The one difference is, they were pleasant and happy.

Can’t explain why people come. 12-13 million a year still do it every year. 35,000 hotel rooms are getting used somehow.

I end up at times around lots of business and educated travelers around my wife’s line of work and they don’t dine at or go go shitty bars on Bourbon like most of the local bubbas from the OT when they are here.
They explore the city and such I guess you could say. For Jazzfest I ended up hanging around people from three countries and 10 different states over one weekend with friends parties and gatherings. It’s just different somehow about perceptions when you talk to people like that.
I don’t even try and warn them about the car break ins and certain bad areas as they are going to do what they want and always seem to enjoy themselves.

and the Hurricanes and Big arse Beer, just like the DC poster that went to a $500k wedding and stayed at the Four Seasons for $550/night just to go hang out at Pat O's after the $500k wedding.

Not shitty restaurants and places that only serve stuff like gumbo, jambalaya, and piles of fried crap

Find a respectable list of the top 25-30 restaurants in the city and look at their menus.
