Since the airlines started charging for checked bags, the poor people carry on suitcases now and they fill up the overhead spaces quickly.

I just wish some of these airlines would enforce the carry on size limit. Flew Delta last week and guy brought on a massive bag and held up the whole boarding process while he tried to jam it in.

Because people are assholes and have to be "first". Its competitive nature

Overhead bins.

I refuse to ever check bags.

If I had to choose though, I'd much rather be the first OFF the plane than the first ON the plane.

I fricking hate it when planes are at the gate, but it takes 20 minutes to get off. I feel like a rat in a cage.

FWIW, I fly Southwest majority of the time and get priority boarding so I don't ever have to worry about this shite. They also number you, so you can't go earlier than your spot in line.

Airlines that charge for bags also get way worse overhead bin crowding.

Living in Nashville, there are always 2 or 3 guitars on the plane though.

Southwest does it right with the number system and bags flying free. Too bad half the people on the plane are nasty white trash

I think its even funnier when the tires have hardly touched the ground and people start standing up all hunched over for what can be 10-15 minutes as you taxi to the terminal.

What airline are you flying? Flight attendants would sit your arse down with the quickness if you stand while the plane is moving on the ground.

Not all bins (even on mainline jets) are to the size that airlines allow for carry ons.

Free drinks while the plane is boarding.

OK, but on most of the planes I fly, first class is not in front of the boarding door, so the first class folks on the aisle have to watch every person board the plane, dragging their stuff behind and in front of them, getting hit on the head by bags.
I would board last, walk in, sit down, then get my drink.

What pisses me off is the tard that stands in the aisle while putting the book he was reading back in his carry-on and tying his shoes. If you're not ready to get off the plane, stay in your seat and let people go in front of you. Usually this guy is blissfully unaware that 50 people behind him are ready to kill him.

Meh. I've got over 300 segments with them in the last 4 years. Never had any major issues.

People watching during boarding and un boarding is always fun, I love (hate) the people that run from the back as far as they can up the isle when the plane lands then stand there confused looking when others are trying to get up to get their bags. If you don't have a flight to catch that requires 10 min or less then sit the frick down

Delta is consistently rated the best major US carrier. Now that might just mean the best of a lot of bad choices, but still if you have to fly, Delta is likely one of your best options.

This makes me see red. Especially if I have a tight connection. I have to "woooo sahhh" to prevent an outburst

I hate Atlanta so much I could scream. The people, the customer service, the constantly under construction airport, the crowds, the smelly train, etc.

I don't fly Delta just to avoid Atlanta.

Interesting. I find the Atlanta airport to be above average among major US airports. Efficient to navigate given its size. Always seems pretty clean to me. Definitely can be crowded at times since it is the busiest airport in the US. As far as customer service, I don't really deal with anyone other than the gate agents and flight crews who are employed by the individual airlines. Delta's people seem as good or better than other airlines in that respect.

But its size is absurd. I prefer smaller airports.

I've been on the train there and felt like this:

Its not Delta alone. Its just the Atlanta people that are employed. They are lazy as shite and when I've had missed connections or similar issues, they've been incompetent as can be.

I'm not saying its a bad airport as far as arriving to your gate and destination, etc. Its the environment in the airport that I find disgusting.
