You'd be better off just linking the OT to be honest.

I'm not a dumbass. I dont think I could outrun a bear or beat a silver back. I do think I could beat the frick out of just about any 4 foot tall 130 pound creature on this planet tho if it is by itself

I found a couple of bits of information perhaps there is a big difference from chimpanzees bred in captivity versus chimpanzees in the wild.

quote:

One of the largest chimps in captivity weighs in at 270 pounds. Guide books such as "Mammals of Africa by Haltenorth and Diller" give male chimpanzee size in the wild from 45-55 kgs. (100-125 lbs).

quote:

The Tai ¨ population provides a unique dataset for the physical growth of immature wild chimpanzees. The timing of maturation of the dentition and skeleton reveals a chronological age sequence that seems to differ between females and males and that represents a shared pattern across wild populations. Captive chimpanzees reach skeletal and dental maturity before wild chimpanzees, and in some instances this difference spans several years. In the wild, day-to-day life in a natural habitat demands more energy output for locomotion, feeding and social activities than in captive environments; hence, for young wild chimpanzees less energy can be devoted to physical growth

Maybe chimpanzees in captivity grow larger

If you decide to get in the ring with one make sure he grew up in the wild

This thread has been pretty hilarious to read. Im pretty sure youre trolling and dont actually believe a human can last even 30 secs with a chimp. You have no idea or concept of the amount of violence an animal is capable of versus a human if a human doesnt have tools. Chimps are approx 4 times the strength of humans at half the size. Imagine a world champ arm wreslter grabbing you by the wrist and not letting go then yanking on your arm, only the has 4x the grip strength of that guy and 4 times the pulling strength. Once that ball and socket joint is dislocated its just muscle, tendon and skin holding on and that would be pulled apart easily with one tug. Now think about the mentality of an animal. There are no rules. They can claw, bite with long fangs, and stomp without sympathy or regard for life like humans instinctually have.

From savethechimps.org
quote:

Adult chimps are estimated to be at least twice as strong, and perhaps even seven times as strong, as humans. This trait is one of the reasons that people who have chimps as pets often end up giving their chimp to an organization like Save the Chimps.

why do you keep saying the chimp won't fight fair as the reason he beats a trained fighter? You realize dc could murder those people he fights in the octagon they just choose not to right? If he gets his hands around the chimp hes snapping its neck

a Chimp that is raging has ZERO rules, zero. DC is a human, hes gonna fight this thing how he fights humans and this is how he dies.

you keep saying "DC could snap his neck". my man, when DC gets close enough to it it's just gonna start tearing, it might just rip chunk of his arm off, DC is gonna go into shock. And this is just the beginning, you see a chimp has different balance than a human, we are talking about an animal that climb a 50 ft tree like we walk through a parking lot. DC might try and throw a haymaker whatever and try and get to his neck eventually but he never gets there because DC has gotten too close and he no longer has eyes.

I just read an article where they could only use small chimps when making the Tarzan movies in the 60’s because of the danger.

Baby chimps.

One day the actor playing Tarzan Mike Henry was messing with one of the little chimps and kind of slapping it. The chimp had enough and immediately put Mikes chin in its mouth but didn’t bite down, the baby chimp was basically saying leave me alone.

Mike Henry needed 20 stitches and was out for a month.

Mike Henry was pretty jacked up it seems and played NFL football

A baby chimp put him on his arse for a month.

quote:

Keep in mind their adaptation isn’t about walking upright but climbing and swinging from their arms, one reason for the strength. Sometimes they have to move quickly. As they say it’s a jungle out there. And their feet are really extra hands so you would be outnumbered right off the bat. He already has four “bare hands” to your two. Good luck with that. But as if that weren’t enough, their head unlike yours is encased in powerful jaw muscles that meet in a saggital crest at the top of the skull, where they are anchored. saggital crest - Google Search These give the ape a bite strength comparable to large predators, which they must sometimes fight for their lives.

quote:

Finally, their upper and lower jaws sport two sets of strong sharp canine teeth that again have the power to slash through the throat of any attacking large predator, all for the sake of staying alive. If he had to use any of these advantages to keep you from killing him he most likely wouldn’t hesitate. It would not be a pleasant way to die. I have seen what they can do to monkeys. You wouldn’t fare much better.

So DC is gonna put this thing in a headlock, a bad motherfricker with agility to climb a 50 ft tree like it’s nothing and basically has 4 arms...........

Because the actor was messing with him chimps dont have claws they do all of the tearing with their teeth. DC would kick them with a quickness. A chimp could not close the distance. Most people dont even know how to throw a kick. But someone who understands this and understands distance and timing and range, will light that chimp in as it comes in. DC will not freak out and act accordingly. He can react to thing in spite seconds how quick is this chimp gonna be when he attacks? Because the idea is a verrry powerful kick fully connects while hes charging then DC runs in gets his hands on his neck and 10 seconds later the chimp is no more

IM GOING TO REITERATE. HES NOT JUST GONNA WALK UP AND GRAB THE CHIMP. HED GET ATE UP. HES GOIKG TO USE HIS DUPERIOR INTELLECT AND RANGE TO POP HIM A T IME OR 2 THEN WHEN HE IS STUNNEND GO IN AND SNAP HIS NECK.

But still, even with humans Americans in general fight far more civilly than other cultures do. Living in China, every guy goes over there cocky as frick that they can beat a Chinese guy’s arse. That may be true, but they don’t consider that Chinese people don’t fight until you’re down and out like Americans and Europeans do; they fight until the person is in the hospital for a few months. It only takes a Westerner to watch one Chinese fight (which if you’re there long enough you will see) for them to quickly change your mind that you can take these people.

If you’re a Westerner that gets in a fight with a Chinese person, you’re totally fricked almost no matter how big you are. I had a friend in China from New Jersey. He was a nice guy when sober, but when drunk he went full Jersey on every male stranger he met. One night he decides to get in a fight with a Chinese guy. Well he kicked that guy’s arse, but that guy had buddies that were armed. He got stabbed right in the fricking esophagus and had to be dragged to the hospital for surgery.

Now multiply that by 100, and that’s a chimpanzee. They’ve got knives attached to their face and sledgehammers attached to all four of their fists. You’d be a fricking moron to fight a chimp that has no qualms whatsoever on killing you.

The idea of Daniel Cormier measuring range and distance on a pissed off chimpanzee is giving me a lot of enjoyment right now.
