“College algebra”. They didn’t teach that at Ole Miss and would tell people to go to Community College for that dumb shite. Seriously, that’s fricking Junior High shite.

We're one of the only species that needs a temperate climate to survive, if we are talking about surviving by what nature has given us.

a polar bear can't live in the desert an iguana cant live in Alaska. There's actually qlot animals that need certain conditions to survive

1. I said one of, as in, one of a small percentage.

2. That puts iguana's on the same level as us with regards to this topic.

ETA: I mean, hypothermia becomes an issue in anything from, something like sub-50 degree weather.

It's even been proven humans are actually pound for pound stronger than chimps( at least top level humans).

Incorrect, what’s been proven is that Chimps are pound for pound twice as strong as humans but since they are typically half the weight of humans they have approximately the same strength as humans.

quote:

People on this board think animals are all just crazy strong for some reason.

That’s because until the recent studies (within the last decade) previous, apparent;y flawed studies, had produced results that indicate 4-5 times human strength, not pound for pound but direct 4-5 times. So it’s understandable that people would believe wha science has stated as truth for decades.

We evolved in a hot grassland environment and then adapted through tools to be able to survive in all climates on the planet. His point is like saying that if you picked up a hippo and put it in the Arctic then it wouldn't be able to survive and therefore it's a weak animal. It's pretty fricking stupid.

No. My point was actually that if you put a human into 45 degree weather, without protection, we will die. I said nothing about the arctic.

My overall point is that humans do not and did not survive due to physical strength. Our species survived due to our intellect.

And the point that continues to goober your head is that isn't true. Animals need the environment that they're adapted to survive. All of them. Temperate is only a human construct because that's the environment that we're adapted to survive in.

So humans have adapted to survive in temperate climates, but my claim that we need temperate climate to survive is wrong?

That's what you're saying right now. It's contradictory and stupid.

What’s all this 140lb stuff? Apparently chimpanzees weigh over 200!

Hes not 200 lbs. You were lied too. Just because they say something doesn't make it true

Eta: from what I've gathered the largest chimpanzee ever which was raised in captivity did make it over 200 pounds but that is EXTREMELY rare. And if that is who your putting in the cage I'm putting the guy who plays the mountain in there. (6'9 over 400 pounds of muscle and can pull a fire truck and lift on one end Volkswagens)

Stop linking YouTube videos and Google how strong a chimp is. Also i still cant find an article talking about a 200 pound chimp only YouTube vids with crazy titles. I can also find YouTube videos with titles like CRAZY 800 POUND HOG

Eta: wiki says your wrong the largest Male ever even in captivity it says weighs 201 and again if you are going with that give me the mountain
