Just first thing I found. Their source is the National retail federation.

Fine print says it goes over 100% because they could select more than 1, not exactly sure how that works.

Yep, and it's so fricking embarrassing to share political beliefs with these people. It makes me question my own beliefs

You'll be going to work tomorrow and not taking the day for for Christmas, right?

I don't know why little things like this get people twisted up. People say "Happy Holidays" vs "Merry Christmas" so not to offend atheists. Now they get it from both sides.
During December, "Merry Christmas" is like saying "Hey now" or "'Sup" or "How you doing?"
It's not like saying "Merry Christmas" is trying to turn a non believer. People need to breathe and let go of all this bullshite.

I don't care either way, but I definitely get the feeling some people are making an explicit political statement by saying Merry Christmas. I may just be paranoid, though.

You're doing a great job of missing the main point which still stands, the "holidays" are about Christmas.

Don't worry man, I'll do extensive research next time and collect my own data.

Bible says to keep Christmas sacred. Saying happy holidays is like pissing on the bible.

But why?

I’ve made no such definitive statement saying it wasn’t. But if you’re going to say something like this, back it up.

Christmas. Hannukah. Kwanza. New Years. All holidays that occur at this time of year. So why are the “holidays” automatically about Christmas?

Yeah all those snowflakes that melted over hearing Merry Christmas! Bunch of melting pussies!

Nothing like the people that melt over hearing Happy Holidays! That’s totally different! Because....because....Jesus!!!

the vast majority of the population won't think anything of it

This reads like a person who never had an original thought in his life. What person have you ever met in your life who had an issue with you saying "Merry Christmas?"

Let's put a name on this make believe boogeyman.
