He probably bet someone that he could be them in a race. His ego got out of hand and before he knew it the bet morphed into he could beat them in a race with one leg. Next week you will probably see him practicing with one hand tied behind his back. shite like this happens to me all the time.

Who is this person and where can I find him? For when the Great Zombie Apocalypse is nigh, he shall be on the list. I will send a helichopper for him. Perhaps he shall even be appointed Minister of Whores.

In the main area of the gym I got no problem as long as you don’t impede my workout. In the sauna the motherfrickers doing sit-ups and shadow boxing make my old man persona come out.

Im about to go put a weighted vest on, get my bench press reps in using a stability ball instead of a bench, and jog a lap around the entire gym offering to spot people every round. It’s to keep my heart rate up and and also keep myself mentally sharp as the coordination it takes to bench from a wobbly arse base is more intense. Mixing my nitric oxide booster as we speak.

Anyway, I don’t want this to be too caught up in one person’s actions.

So you started a dumb thread to inform others to prove you aren't caught up.

You said yourself that the guy was in good shape.

Maybe he knows what he is doing?

Maybe he finds the "traditional" workout boring and wanted to mix it up a bit? Add a little spice? Who cares if he is in good shape and in a gym doing something instead of sitting on his fat arse...like I am.

Good for him.

Lol at all these people sticking up for random gym guy.

If you have ever been a member of a gym, you have witnessed some weird shite like the OP is describing

The key word is disruptive. Feel free to do whatever you want in the gym if it gets you results, but stay in your lane.

my favorite one to laugh at is the fat girl on the elliptical going so slowly she is probably burning a calorie a minute. She has her headphones on and is starting at her iphone music video and "dancing" along as she excersizes at a glacial pace.

Wouldn't be so bad if she wasn't a size 18+ and trying to look sexy. It is some kind of sad to watch I tell you. Like a train wreck... compelling.

I balance on a deflated kickball to strengthen my fricked for life ankle.

Is that weird if you saw me doing that? I can see how hopping on it would help too

A guy that I went on a few dates with almost 10 years ago and his now wife stretch on every step on their way up to the 2nd floor. They stay to the side, but it’s still a low-level nuisance. I have to go around them at least twice a week on my way up and it’s a little awkward and I’m paranoid to express even a hint of irritation because I don’t want to come off as jealous.

And I just got to thinking about the CrossFit fad and all these people doing weird workouts. Why?

Because standing at a curling rack in a stationary position, curling a set weight for 3 sets of 10/12 does what exactly for functionality?

The basic movements of CrossFit: Cleaning, snatching, deadlift, bench, and squat are all applicable to daily functionality. What does leg extensions and curls at anytime fitness do, baw?

He might bring up that time you inappropriately and spontaneously burst into tears.
