The Boomers peaked at Woodstock. After that they just ran unchecked through American culture. I can't hate on 'em too bad because they certainly created some badass music, film and art that I have greatly benefited from and enjoyed growing up. I like the more laid back Millennial view on things with regard to work vs life balance, legalization and acceptance of marijuana, wary eye toward religion. I hate on both of them here but there are some things I admire about both generations being stuck squarely in between them. I can see both their points of view in an argument to some extent.

Asa boomer I really enjoy mellinials company. The people I loathe are boomers and mellinials that vote against our country’s interest. I am for freedom liberty and justice for all. I am not for social engineering. Those boomers and mellinials that are pushing all this pc and sjw bs can take a hike.

Funny thing I see more kids being raised by others. My wife 29 and I 37, fight over the fact that it’s my responsibility to discipline our baby no one else. If I’m not there I will be and it will be handled. Her family thinks everyone has a say. Of course her niece and nephew spend 40 % of their time with grandparents 40% parents and 20% with us. I tell them what to do and it’s done. No idea what everyone else’s problem is.

No. There was one other generation that had overt hatred for older generations. That was the Boomers. In the 60s when Boomers were Collage age they blamed everything on older generations. I believe the popular saying they had was “don’t trust anyone over 30”.
Just one more example of how Boomers and Millennials are very much alike.

That is exactly it. If you take a look at all of the protests and riots and marches that took place when the boomers were the age that millennial's are now and how much the two generations seem to despise one another it is not hard to see that they are WAY more alike than either of them is willing or comfortable admitting. Give a flower child a twitter account and watch the lines start to blur.

I disagree with the statement that Boomers and Millennials hate each other. They are basically the same.
I agree with this.
What I see, as a Generation X’er is that I hate both equally as well. It’s our generation that had to endure the Boomers’ bullshite and now somehow our kids have turned into our parents.
I’m guessing it’s cyclical because I got along great with the Greatest Generation folks, and I pretty much look at life like my grandparents did. At the same time, the other part of my Gen X philosophy is who gives a shite?

I think we just want a piece of the pie. Millennial don't have the purchasing power that our parents had when they were as young due to a myriad of factors mostly outside of our control.

I've said this before but, comparing victimhood statuses is for losers. It doesn’t matter how bad (or good) someone from a different generation had it. And it doesn’t matter how bad you think you have it. Just do the best with what you have and stfu. No one cares about your struggle.

Every generation has it's pros and cons. If you constantly group other generations together and play the blame game then you are using your energy so negatively it's not even worth having a discussion. But that's what we've evolved into right? A blame game society for our individual problems? Generations should strive to make a positive impact during our time and leave this place better than we found it.
