Back then there were safe neighborhoods full of small, affordable homes. Now it's trap houses and shoot outs.

2008 happens because the Federal Government got involved in the housing market by forcing banks to extend mortgages to people with no credit and no hope of ever being able to afford a house. The Feds threatened banks and the banks did as they were told. The result was 2008.

My 3 children are millennials. They all 3 worked their way through college. And not just summer time internships. Maybe you felt the job and/or pay was below you or not appropriate for someone getting a degree in your major, but the opportunities were and for that matter do still exist for those who aren’t afraid to work.

There is like 5 different retirement packages based on when you started at my company. I would be about halfway through my career under the old pension style system, I got well over that in years left to adjust to all the benefits that require progressively higher retirement ages under then new system. I think the stereotypical Millenials are direct opposites of the stereotypical Boomers in a lot of ways.
Boomers want to do nothing but work and have no issue spending more time away from their families to do that work. Sometimes to a very huge detriment to their families. As a response to this type of experience by the millenials, they prioritize their home life to the detriment of their work life. There are a few other places you can see these huge swings as well.

This is another issue. Dates have shifted on where these generations are or there is some misinformation.
Post 1992 should be gen z. Not Millennials. Millennials are Gen Y.
