i've never heard of chelsea boots being "liberal". when i was growing up in the 80s and 90s, it's what old men wore. i have a couple pair myself, though i usually just wear crocs.

Real boots end at mid-calf or slightly higher on the person wearing them

What's a Chelsea boot? I don't want to go to the soccer board or aggy board to find out.

My dude you are missing out. I have a pair of Blundstone steel toes that are great. I have quite a few pair of Chelsea boots but would not consider myself a lesbian or a feminine looking guy.

Actually I might be a lesbian, I am attracted to women. Are all guys lesbian? Good thread bro...

I didn’t know what Chelsea boots were but if I was going to guess it would have been the half length boots that have the stretchy elastic thing around the ankle and a pull on strap in the back because I usually just see those on gays and fake Texans that arrived in ATX or DFW.

Google search confirmed.

ETA:

That’s exactly what I had in mind. I genuinely only see gays (not that there’s anything wrong with that) and people that wear $300 cuffed jeans in BMWs wear them.

Now, besides the aforementioned Xtratufs, I don’t own a pair of Chelsea boots so I don’t have a dog in this hunt. In fact, I just took off my plain Wolverine wellingtons. But I do think it’s both funny and ironic that the folks ripping the plain boots as gay are bragging about the masculinity of ornately filigreed, square toed boots made from exotic skins.

There’s no judgement. I wear AllBirds and Birddogs every day of the week. I’m aware of their stereotypes and don’t care.

These boots are gays and metrosexuals boots. That’s fine.

I have a couple of pairs. I view them more of a slip on dress shoe than a boot. I have boots when I want to wear boots.

Just about every boot maker has them from Ariat to Justin

There are really only a few colors used to describe shoes/boots,
black, brown, and cordovan. Soles are described as rubber or leather. You could add material in your description, canvas, suede or some animal skin if needed.

Describing a pair of shoes in detail as above would give me pause.
