You got lucky. You won't get much for that price now.

They avoid cardio everywhere. That is why they are fat. Heart attacks waiting to happen.

If I had fat c cup moobs I surely wouldn't want people seeing them flop around on the treadmill

When are people gonna realize that cardio isnt the most efficient way to lose fat..

Cardio is great for your lungs and heart no your gut and double chin. Fat people get skinny based on diet

I do chuckle that you specifically mentioned upper body and entirely ignored the concept of leg day

Building muscle helps accelerate calorie burning.

I've been at the same gym for a number years and see tons of people come and go- the regulars and the "this time I'm gonna get in shape for reals" types. The really obese people invariably head straight to the weights and spend 60-90 minutes on bench press, curls, military press, etc.
I can appreciate their trying to at least do something about the problem but when you're 80-100 pounds overweight you need to be doing cardio. At this point, 20 minutes of jogging would be so much more beneficial than bench pressing and playing on their phones for an hour.
Someone help me understand the psychology behind this mindset. If you've got C cup man boobs, throwing a kettle bell isn't going to get rid of that. It's a treadmill and diet fix.
All you did here was put your ignorance of health/fitness on public display.

What are you talking about?
Watching and being concerned about other people at the gym is creepy! People have stories we know nothing about. You must be a newby.

Why are you judging people?

They are at the gym that long sometimes. That’s why the machines and free weights are so popular. 1 set every 6 minutes is a lot easier than constant movement on a treadmill/bike plus they can say “i go to the gym for an hour a day and im not losing the weight!”

Then you come here and complain about it.
We've reached peak boredom in this country, I suppose.
Fat people in a gym should get praised.

get his premise. Lifting weights would help lose weight, sure, but it would take more time, discipline and correct form. That’s why people don’t stick with it. Getting on a treadmill and correcting the diet however is easier and quicker.
This would be correct in the aspect of "losing weight." Losing fat, on the other hand, would be much quicker by lifting.

Jesus said “The fats you will have with you always, the Son of Man, meh, not so much.” (Or words to that effect)
So fatties are just making Jesus tell the truth.

You only get so many heartbeats. Why spend them on a stairmaster? At least go out and ride a bike or go for a swim. Pumping your legs on a machine watching CNN? frick that.
