German Shepherd caught a small lizard and has been trying her best to rub her back all over it. My old lazy lab just growled, barked and ran her off and is now trying to roll all over it.

To trick other lizards into thinking it is a lizard.

Better camo.

And they always seem so happy and proud when they run up to you afterwards.

My Corgi will put her cheek in anything dead and push herself with her hind legs as hard as she can . She’ll also get a running start and hit it face first , kinda skid through it .

The smell. My dogs always find things in the yard that they roll on their back and move around on. I am not always sure what they are rolling on, but one time I saw a dead small frog..

That's the first thing my dogs do after they get washed. The second they go outside they find something in the yard to roll around on.

To prevent virus breakouts. The dog is doing a very good thing to society and global economy epidemics.

You should give you dog a huge bone for this

My dumb dog found a dead snake to roll around on. I had to throw him in the swimming pool and wash him twice to get the rot smell off.

Used to have a poodle that would go roll in cow patties in the cow pasture next door to our place. Damn, that was a nasty bath to have to give.

Yep. Took my dog to the bayou for a romp. First thing she did was find a dead snake, haul it out onto the bank and roll all over it. Stunk as bad as you can imagine. Took almost a half a bottle of shampoo to get the stink off. No more trips to the bayou.

Also, when she sneaks out of the yard and goes for a run, she comes back damp with dog shite smeared on her back. At least she comes home and heads straight for the water hose. She knows there is a price to pay.

We took our very smart border collie out to an uncles farm once. She got out of the car and went straight to a big fresh cow paddie and rolled all in it.

"That's a city dog right there," per Uncle.
