I’m sure you remember when Dealerships had their name stamped into the rear bumpers on trucks.
Always thought that sucked especially when you were paying them an advertising fee.

The last boat I bought the dude was sticking it on as I was minutes away from pulling it off the lot. Told him not to worry about it. He said he had to. He put it on...I pulled it off as he was standing there and he said he would have done the same if it was his.

I had this discussion with my girlfriends family about the branding from the manufacturer plastered all over their new very expensive custom boat. Makes it look hideous. You’re paying top dollar for someone to make you something. Not to have you advertise it. Now If there was a deal where you get a discounted rate for allowing the advertising on the boat that’s one thing.
They said “well he built it so he gets to do that” but my response was “you paid him to build it”. I loathe ugly corporate branding on things like that. Especially since you’re already paying them for the damn product.

In the 60's it was common for dealers to have die cast logos that required two holes drilled in the deck lid to mount.

I don't find that nearly as off-putting as all the horseshite many manufacturers put on firearms these days. Most of it is just gaudy and ugly, but some of them try to put an entire safety warning on the side of a damn pistol! Holy hell, isn't that what the paperwork is for?

The cut logos in the aftermarket truck shite is marketing beyond just free advertising. Most of that crap is overpriced as hell so it's a dick measuring contest for a lot of the guys that buy it.
A no name bumper can be just as good as one with the logo water jet cut into it, but it doesn't scream look at me and how much I paid to deck out my hooptie.

The jeep bumpers you posted are not terrible i don't care for it but its not terrible. the roll bar crap is terrible any way you look at it.
