Why do companies insist on cutting their logo into the metal on truck accessories?

So many products get ruined with ugly crap like this.
I hate that crap and refuse to buy anything with a cutout logo but it's getting hard to find. This wasn't always the case and seems more of a recent thing.

Yea I agree. I just found some images through google to make my point but I was looking for a bumper for an old Bronco I may buy and they all have ugly arse cut-outs in the metal.

Gotcha. Along the similar lines I get irritated when I see people driving around with the dealer license plate frame and dealer sticker on the back. I mean the dealership isn't paying me for advertising.

Better question is what the hell are people doing with all that stuff
If you can drive a 2001 Toyota Hilux with 2000 pounds of gear for 500 miles across rivers and boulders in the Congo you dont need any of this stuff.

I see roll bars are making a comeback and look great on some trucks IMO but the rack on that one ruins it.
