Well some friends brought over a dead kid and my wife was getting off the late shift at the hospital. I did not have a Winston to help me out.

During my time in BR I noticed it was very cliquish and chicks got married early and wanted babies right away in their early to mid twenties.
I hate to say this, but this is very true. It seemed as if my ex-SIL had a check list - found guy that makes 6 figures, date 2 years, buy expensive engagement ring, have expensive wedding, buy expensive house, have 1 child - get divorced before 5 years of marriage - she and her group of 6 friends ALL did this

Tigerdroppings is the reason I’m 26 and still have no desire to ever get married

I don’t understand these people at all.

Humans are social creatures, and women are even more group-oriented than men.
When it comes to assessing marriage material, you absolutely need to look at her family and group of friends. These people will, for better or worse, influence her thoughts and actions.

I think social media plays a part in situations like this. One or two of the friends gets divorced and then starts going out and taking trips and posting it on social media making it look like they’re having a great time and living an exciting life. The others see this and are jealous and decide that’s what they want and “want to live for themselves too” and following their friends in divorce

They do it with marriage, kids, divorce.
Women love attention.

And, I got divorced because I ended up getting blackmailed by a hooker. It was a whole ordeal.

It is currently being well-documented in another thread. I just couldn't break my rule of not negotiating with terrorists.

Depending on the age range, potential is high that someone who is a 4-6 on the looks scale could get treated like a 10 for a period because the ratio of guys to girls on various dating / hookup platforms is so out of whack.
They think that an "all the cock you can eat" buffet sounds better than the one they have until they realize there's an expiration date on how long this works. At a point, you either settle down or you're not finding anyone because you've fricked up too much or your applicant pool has run dry.

That and immaturity
My brother has been divorced for 6 years this year so I’m not sure if social media had much influence
But I wouldn’t put it past the bitch

I think there's a large portion of people great at being a dating partner but wholly unequipped to be a marriage partner. As the dating industry becomes more lucrative for big tech the more marriage culture becomes subject to the whims of the short term dating culture.

Me and the Ex just weren’t giving much anymore, she had a bunch of female issues, and I also didn’t think I was very fertile. Tried for a kid for 10 years, (longest 10 damn years of my life) we finally both mutually parted ways, but she was secretly seeing someone else(of course she was, that whore)... 4 months later she ended up getting pregnant for the other guy and it was pretty fricking crushing and I felt cursed and pretty much didn’t give a shite about my existence much anymore, until I found my current Fiancé. She told me up front that she had some female issues and probably can’t have kids and I told her well I don’t think I can either, so it was basically a cool deal let’s go with this. She had 3 surgeries within a year and was about to get a 4th until she took a pregnancy test and she was pregnant! So we are currently 5 months in now and my baby boy will be arriving in August and I couldn’t be more happy. I can’t wait! I’m so freaking excited to be a dad. We are getting married in Dec
CSB.
No, really. Cool story, bro. Cheers to you, your wife, and your son.

She decided she did not want to be married to me any more.

someone mentioned earlier how depressing the stories are in this thread. But they are only talking about the divorce not life afterwards.
I can tell you single life as a middle aged, in shape, upper middle income guy is pretty great.
My savings rate exploded after divorce. Only one person making those crazy purchases.
Had a son....name and bloodline carries on. Job complete. No need to ever remarry.
I date and usually find a decent GF for a few months....sometimes longer.
Also, my decision making process is very streamlined now.
