Why did America move away from the minivan?

They’re more economical
They’re more practical
They’re more functional
But now every soccer mom is driving around in some variation of an SUV. We had a 2002? Toyota Sienna, and it was one of the best vehicles I’ve ever owned. Followed up with a Toyota RAV4 when the kids got older, and I hated that little piece of shite.

They’re hideous. I would not be caught dead driving a minivan. When I get married, that will be the #1 rule. No mini-vans.

Rocking a Swagger Wagon in my household. I prefer my Highlander on trips but the van has its use still. Official vehicle of Vestavia carpool.

Wife drives a Sienna limited.
I don’t get all of the hate, it’s the nicest car we’ve ever owned and the ride quality blows away the previous Honda minivan we had.
