re: Why can’t fairs and festivals have good beer options?

Because they don't sell.
Every bar will tell you that bud light, bud heavy, miller light, and ultra are the best selling beers they have, no matter how big the selection.
Most of America are not beer snobs, and don't care about notes of elderberry in their beer.

This is why Fun Fair Park went out of business.

Agreed brother.
Went to a fair recently and went fricking nuts on the girl at the beer tent for not having any 10.5%+ imperial stouts

Went to Brent Cobb concert last night at a small venue. Bartender said they were getting wiped out of local craft beers. The previous shows with lighter country just sold mostly Ultra, Miller Lite type stuff.
Maybe fair and festival crowds are just country light folks.

why don't you put on a flannel shirt that is 2 sizes too small, go to your local ax throwing joint, and sip coffee and cream stouts?

They cater to the many that will drink each a 12 pack. Not some snob that drinks 3 craft beers for the taste.

The prospect of carnival/food truck dining is the biggest fricking scam currently going ever, excluding all the big ones like birds, a round earth, Hellen Keller, banking and anything at all to do with foreign nations and people. You sit outside in the GD heat and order an overpriced main and have to pay overpriced prices for sides. Your kids won't order from the same stand/truck. Then you have to go sit a filthy park bench with a beeper that is contaminated with the plague and sit there with your thumb up your arse with either a hot beer or a liquorless margarita. Nothing comes out at the same time and you inevitably leave hungry because flies eat most of your shite. In summation, frick fairs and food trucks.

Yeah. The majority is not always right.
People should take more pride on what beer they drink lol
Yes that sounds snobby and I’m ok with that

That’s the fifth wittiest thing I’ve read this week.
Slow week for wit, apparently.

You’re talking about the Tomato Fest? It’s kind of known for it Sangria anyway.

It’s because they’re selling beer that was donated and no one is donating shite that runs $15 for a 6-pack when a case of Miller Light is $20.
Local festivals are literally what cheap beer, 18” corn dogs and funnel cakes were put on earth to do. Just live in the moment, broski.

Strawberry fest had gnarly Barley beers on draft.

Craft beer is a trend. When I was young my grandpa, dad, uncles, and all guys at hunting camps all drank a lot of beer and I never saw craft beer. Since the 90's it's become popular and main stream. How many of you have grandpas or great grandpas that drink craft beer regular?

This may be the gayest shite I've seen all week.
And i drank a Bud Light and got my own Princess Ears at Disney yesterday.
You're gayer than me.

Jazz Fest always has a nice variety of beer options. Also full service cocktail tents. Go to better festivals.
