re: Why aren’t newspapers that throw out unrequested copies in yards charged with littering?

Agree! I was just wondering how I can get these idiots to stop throwing the paper on my driveway. No one wants that shite anymore! Stop!

How many of those plastic newspaper bags are in the Lafitte Canal?

It's annoying to pick it up, but I try to just make the most of it. Keep some for future painting projects, as padding if I ever need to ship something, packing dishes if I ever move. Keep some to help get fires started in my fire pit. But for the most part they go in the garbage

I'd be willing to bet the John Georges doesn't get them thrown in his yard. Seems like a good idea to give them back to him if you don't want them. Since it's not littering, you won't get in trouble.

I used to just throw them in my neighbor's yard, but then found out about the thing in Jefferson Parish where you can sign up to stop getting them. Haven't gotten any more since

Any monetary waste that helps to bankrupt the newspapers faster is a good thing to me.

I kick them right into the street and let the cars rollover it.

My lazy arse neighbor will keep them in his driveway, rolling over them countless times. By the time he moves to clean them up, he needs to use a shovel to scrape them off the ground.

A couple hundred of those sure would clutter up the well manicured front lawn of a prominent local newspaper.

I actually chased the delivery woman down the street.

I was out cutting my lawn when it happened. When I caught her I kindly asked that she stop throwing her trash in my yard. It never happened again.

I started saving them. My plan was to dump months them on the stoop of the newspaper's office, since we often frequent a restaurant right next door. My wife saw my stash and shamed me into letting it go.

I hear the delivery person every morning before my alarm though. She needs a muffler.

Save them for a year, then drive over to wherever they print the paper now and dump them all at the front door.

If enough people did this the problem would be solved.
