Why aren’t climate alarmists planting trees at an alarming rate?

You know, if it were me, and I were so driven by fear of our carbon footprint on the planet, I’d be super busy planting as many trees as I could, and encouraging everyone else to do the same, but why is it that you just never really hear the climate alarmists pushing that over getting rid of the internal combustion engine to replace it with electric vehicles that use fossil fuels to attain power to generate said electricity?
Wouldn’t that stand to be a more obvious answer, and one that does the job without much input from yourself even, besides planting it in the ground? Nature’s carbon filter and oxygen producer. God thinks of everything, but apparently man has to complicate the issue. Unless of course, it’s not about reducing carbon at all, and more about enriching themselves, moving wealth and power, controlling movement, or some other more nefarious agenda at play here.

Imagine the intelligence level of the average person is... half the world is dumber than them

Because that actually means doing something. The amount of Twitter activists that just sit there and bitch is astronomical.

Bc that doesn’t flip an industry that enriches those on the other side.

If they were that concerned, they'd be doing more than planting trees. They'd be building massive CO2 scrubbers all across the planet. It's about taxing/restricting people into serfdom.

Environmental organizations do not emphasize volunteer or grassroots efforts the way that they should because they do not gain money for the organization they way that they want.
This is about cash.
That's why they spend more time chasing dollars at capitol buildings instead of putting more trees in the ground.

If you have available land, I can find some seedlings and folks to plant them.

Saplings are cheap.
Solar panels, windmills, and EVs are big money makers.

I need some fruit and saw tooth oak trees if you got a hook up

Why do something for yourself, when Big Government can "rescue you" from yourself?

Maybe I'm in the minority on this nugget, but I recently learned that C02 makes up 0.04% of the earth's atmosphere. Not 40%, not 4%, .04%....four hundredths of one percent.
And human's contribution is a fraction of that, but we're lead to believe that our contribution to that trace amount in the atmosphere is what is going to destroy life on our planet. Something about that just seems incredibly unlikely to me.

You know why! It’s all fricking bullshite. It’s utterly absurd to think human beings can affect the weather in any possible way.

And you get more cash through media attention. The media doesn't care if a group plants 1000 trees. But glue yourself to a road causing a backup...attention everywhere.

Mostly because they live in big cities and want “you” (read: not them, not in their backyard) to do the heavy lifting for pretty much whatever it is they want.

Because everyone knows that the only way to stop climate change is to pay more taxes.

That would require manual labor and would actually make a difference

Humans are responsible for 1/3rd of the CO2 in the atmosphere. It has gone from 280 ppm to around 420ppm in the past 150ish years. It may sound like a small number but the atmosphere is huge and it definitely has an effect.
We can survive much higher levels though, the earth has plenty of different climates and when one becomes unsustainable another becomes available.

If CO2 is reduced to a certain point, all plant life stops growing. Is almost like our atmosphere is a natural balance supporting all kinds of life or something.

For the same reason my 1st world lifestyle is supposedly killing the planet while they are importing every third worlder they can so they too can live the same lifestyle.
