Because there are off road places where I can legally operate the car as fast as possible.

I hit 164 MPH in my Challenger once and it was terrifying how long it took me to slow down to even 80, yet it was almost as exhilarating as sex.

I regularly hit 120+ in that thing on a long, straight stretch of interstate in Arkansas

Then how would people from Livingston Parish commit vehicular homicide on I-12?

I guess you don't do Texas Toll Road 130 (by-passes Austin) - speed limit on much of the 90 mile highway is 85, and if you do travel at that speed you're impeding the flow of traffic.

I commute on this road daily and love it

Old people form Texas are by far the worst offenders and a lot of them will stay in the left lane doing 60 in a 70.

People really don't understand how efficient a highway system can be until you've driven on the autobahn.

I get severe road rage when I go home and drive on any Interstate. It is a simple concept that for whatever reason some can't get the concept.

Well, don't they severely enforce the rules over there? As in going to slow, following too closely, not utilizing lanes correctly....you actually get a ticket. Cops here dgaf about you being in the left lane, not using your blinker, driving so unsafely slow....etc.

Hence why in anything other than a sports car the shaking and instability in anything over 80 is pretty pronounced.

Damn, didn't realize a Tahoe was considered a sports car.

Not saying I like it, but that’s likely where we are headed with technology and self driving technology being developed.

And that technology can, and will, be hacked.

Many high end cars already have rev limiters to limit top end speed which are easily bypassed.

The problem is that people in the US are too stupid to get the concept to get over in the right lane and the left lane is designed for passing only. Old people form Texas are by far the worst offenders and a lot of them will stay in the left lane doing 60 in a 70.

I agree drivers are too stupid, but the problem drivers in Texas go well beyond the usual old people.
