Lindsey also wasn't diagnosed with postpartum psychosis until after she killed her kids too. Very convenient for her defense.
Her idiot defenders also like to bring up Peter was told not to leave her alone with the kids. Also not the truth.

100% premeditated.

Yikes that's a bad look, and cuts against a full on psychotic break defense IMO.
Or a woman, who is so worn down that day and doesnt have the motivation to make food, but also realizes the struggle of then being alone with her kids if she asks for takeout, googles how long she will be alone if she suggests takeout as an option.
I have been there when my kids were babies- couldnt fathom figuring out food, didnt want to leave the house, but didnt want to be alone with the kids even longer, so you google how long itll take for him to get back so you can mentally prepare. If you dont understand, you were never a mom with 2 under 2 just trying to survive.
Not saying its impossible to be premeditated murder also, but its not the only option.

Yet she ended up strangling out 3 innocent children in that window.
Spare us the "you just dont understand motherhood" nonsense. Its tiresome hearing women backfill a murderers maneuvers with "oh just good ole backbreaking motherhood".
You have to remember she strangled out 3 innocent young children...this isnt you having a stressful day.

there is something going on different socially with this case and I am not down the rabbit hole enough to know what that is
This level of support is very different than I have seen in past similar cases, but it seems the one unifying thread in anything I have seen on this case is the husband. My only guess is that whatever the reason the support is so much higher, it involves him

possibly so, but that is also the actions of an exhausted but still reasonable and functioning human being

Two of the three kids were in freaking daycare and she didn't even work. Her husband worked from home too and she had all kinds of help from grandparents.

Nah, i was specifically commenting on why her googling maps isnt an indictment to automatic premeditated murder.
Edit- i'd be curious to see if she googled routes often in similar situations when he left the house during the time she was struggling or if this was the only time...

No. Just her lies to her therapists and to him and then sending him off to run errands so she had plenty of time to do it all. But sure, this woman just wanted to know when he’d be back so she knew how long she had to be a responsible mom for 30 extra minutes. That makes more sense.

It’s the only time either the prosecution or defense has mentioned. Seems significant. If she had done it before the defense would have brought it up. Quit looking for ways to defend her. She doesn’t deserve empathy.

My rather biased take is that the case isn't different
Rather, that women - to the extent they're a cohesive contingent - have hit a particularly bad spot at the moment. This isn't about Clancy, it's about a particular moment in female Western culture that is candidly pretty ugly.
Typical caveats for this being worse on social media than IRL, etc.

The left loves murdering innocent children

This is the type of case where everyone should easily come to the conclusion that she deserves the death penalty. But because she said being a mommy is really tough, she has all these women thinking it wasn’t really her fault. Empathy. To their own detriment. It blinds them. And they use social media to fulfill their need for validation and approval and emotional support. It’s ruining them.

There’s not a more privileged group in society than modern day financially well-off white women (which this killer was a part of). But when they’re not guzzling wine and scrolling TikTok, they’ll tell you with a straight face that nobody has it harder.

It's pretty bad. There is no meaningful external constraint/criticism of this stuff right now, it's a runaway train.

Exactly. Somehow my wife kept from killing me or our 2 kids and she was working full time and we had no help from family. We could barely afford to put them in day care. It was stressful as hell for us but you learn that life will go on. Only an evil person could think about doing what she did.

Internet and gender politics has gotten stupid.
Also she pretty normal. A nurse, not hot but not ugly, on a ton of benzos. Just very relatable to the modern 30 something mom
