Why are so many valedictorians/outstanding Louisiana college graduates female?

I just saw 21 valedictorians and top college graduates on my local news, and 19 out of the 21 were female. When I graduated high school in 2003 it was the opposite.
Why are so many Louisiana guys not graduating at the top of their classes?

Girls are generally better students than guys. There are also more women in college nowadays than men.

My life experience: 2.5 - 3.4 gpa acheivers run the world. 3.5 - 4.0ers get it done for them.

A lot of girl college courses are easier. Art and Design are way easier than petroleum engineering

I'll be brutally honest. Most women are smarter than men, BUT their emotions drops their IQ below us. So in the end, we're the better decision makers
